Generally not as windy as on the 11th, very gusty for Kirby, and too broad for most of the day. The tide was too high first thing and this is perhaps when the wind was best. It got broader throughout the day to.
I started on the 5.5 and clocked lots of times between 39 and 42, with one 42.3 Knot max.
I then decided to give the 6.5 a try and oddly didn't feel any more powered up on the course, perhaps because it was really broad. It also surprised me that I went slightly quicker on the 6.5 (i never usually bother with it as I'm quite light) getting lots of runs between 41 and 42 (much more consistent) and a best displayed time of 42.5. (guess I'd better use the 6.5 more often)
Really enjoyable day despite the cold, good to sail with Farrell, just need a bit more wind next time.
