Mixed feelings about today. When I started I was already low on energy and couldn't really get the speeds that I was hoping for.

Started with the 5.6 and JP45. First run straight away 70 on the display, so it was looking good, but the wind dropped a bit after so I was struggling for a while with that combo. After an hour and half or so decided to rig 6.3 and take out the W53, which made sense at the time. However, later the wind picked up considerably and the gusts were even more powerfull so the combo wasn't as efficient anymore. I did manage to get a new PR on peak speed in a big gust, but it would've been even faster on the JP45.

After a while my sail decided out of the blue to tear in the main panel, so the end for the 6.3. Luckily the 5.6 was still rigged so I went out again with the W53 and 5.6. My energy was already waay to low however to make improvements to my AVG.

Pretty happy with the peak speed, but I should've gotten so much more out of it. It was good fun though to see so many speedies on Horst and we had some great company while devouring half a chicken at Bellini's. Let's see what tomorrow brings...
