Full power !! Almost smashed the spot record  Pfffff... Hardly half of the predicted wind.

My goal for today was testing my new F89. Rigged the 7.8 (to be able to switch boards if wind increases) and started with the fat boy. Very cold in the beginning and wind dropped a few times untill only 5 kts...

The advantage of being a light weight is that a 90L board is sufficient to bring you where you want, even without wind. And in Ouddorp you have 80cm water everywhere you stop. So it was quite safe to try the F89 anyway. Needed some descent pumping off course, but that's all what it needs: Place your feet in the straps, close the gap and it keep on going. Really happy with the succesor of my old favorite F85. And I just need the same amount of wind for the big one and the F89 but the speeds with the little one is always higher even in the lightest conditions. I think I can sell my F113 (or just keep it for my 8.5 sail).
