Stage two of the "speed spot safari" at the southern Baltic coast around Rostock. After a slow session in Michaelsdorf (Bodstedeter Bodden) in mid June a gave the Salzhaff a new chance. The wind was not so strong up to 23 knots, some gusts of small thunder storms maybe 25 knots.

The water level was very low, like usually in all lagoons at the southern Baltic with southwest winds. The way to walk was not so far ... 50-70 m dry sea ground from the beach and then 50 m to walk to have a water level of 40-50 cm to start. Close to the beach the chop was up to 15 cm and up to 30-40 cm in the middle of the bay. The chop was not in good ordered lines to find a fast line in between ... it was a bit bumpy.

I tested the Avanti M2 6,9 m2 the first time and on RDM. Nice feeling like I love it from my Loft Blades, but lighter in the hands. The Equipment was only light to medium powered. A bit more wind was forcasted. Sometimes I used the bigger Exo SL61 and later in decreasing winds the 7,7 m2. So the speed potential of the spot is not speed is not maxed out. An easy session to start here. It will be no high speed spot, but better than nothing to reach in "after work distance".

Looking foreward to some other spots discoveries around ;-)
