Day 8 on Karpathos

After a day off with some sight-seeing on the beautifull Northern part of the Island, today was the day where the 3 Musketeers would arrive by plane, ooh yeah!

So after they settled in, we went to Schill's for a first sail. Since it was around noon, the wind was still light and I chose 6.3, despite the current measurements showing 20 knots with 30 gusts, but in general later in the afternoon the wind picks up significantly. Today was no exception, as around noon I was still waaaay underpowered, but at around 4 'o clock, I was well lit up on 6.3 and it was just a matter of having luck with the right gust to go fast. This worked out well once, but the other times there was a windgap somewhere in the run unfortunately. 

All in all a good day for everyone to get settled in and the forecast for the next week looks great, so it should be fast and fun! Great year for wind this year on Karpathos! :P
