Opted to not do the trip to Sandy but have a training day in the chop at Lake connewarre. It was good solid 6.6 weather and the 08 koncept was awesome. The 08 F2 sx small (90 litre) was also fantastic and a fun day was had. Its been a long time since sailing the lake and I'd forgotten how good it is there. Although the water is very shallow in lots of places and the weed can be a problem, it doesn't take too long to find the quick spots again. It was quite choppy (about 12-18" in places) but I managed a PB in the nautical mile and did 4 of them over 31.5 kn so i'm pretty happy with that. The standard 31 cm fin was good when it hadn't picked up any weed. All in all a good day!
