Windfinder had it at WSW around 260 degrees - so around 130degrees off the wind on a port course. Reasonably gusty

Low tide height was 0.6m - which was much better than last time at 1.4m. The shoreline is a lot more consistent, but it's not dead straight, there are a few places which are too shallow, and look too shallow, so until I'm super familiar with the place I'm not hugging the shore as much as I could.

5.8m was too small on the run at  that angle. The 6.4m wouldn't have been fun getting upwind, but the speeds should have improved.

The wind started to turn a few degrees (maybe to 270 degrees) in the last 45mins, and drop, this helped the water flatten a fair bit - speeds were similar. 270degrees may be the better direction to aim for, as the rolling chop at the better angle is limiting the speeds.

Again, the flattest water seemed to be from the launch site down towards the river mouth.
