A lost day for me..... After the first run in the goldfleet i broke the mast of my 7,0. I didn´t have a spare mast in this size on the beach except in my rigged 6,2. Option 1, derigg my 6,2 and put this mast in the 7,0. This would take 20 minutes and my heat was lost anyway. I choose for option 2, just take the 6,2 and hope for some gusts.
The wind was really low and i didn´t make any good runs with the 6,2. All the others were on 7,8 or 7,0.
So i was in the silver fleet. At the end of the day we sailed this heat and i won it, so tomorrow again starting in the gold fleet.
I learned today to sail bigger or stiffer fins on the course, as you can see on the movie my boards are stick to the water. Why i need to learn this here?, so frustating. This are normally really my kind of conditions.
