We knew upfront Herkingen was not the place to be to get the best speeds, but this is the place were we can windsurf the whole day and change/ test material. In the beginning not a lot of wind but a perfect wind angle. Everybody complains that this was to broad, but in my opinion it was perfect, i wish we had this angle when the wind increased..... I sailed 4 of the 5 best runs in less wind but with the perfect wind angle. The other run i made later that day with my 5,1, but i was to tired to improve my speeds.
Wouter crashed big time and his face was full of blood (small cut on his forehead), this wasn't a good motivation for me to really go for it with my 5,1 in 40 knots...
