With Mags Dad now in a home in Bury St. Edmunds :( and with not much wind forecast - got that wrong again as Felixstowe was good Saturday afternoon again !!! - and with Ben Tilson selling me his Starboard Isonic 135 :) it was a good chance to visit Rutland again. So after getting an annoying rattle fixed on our van, having lunch with my dad and visiting Mags dad we got the last good pitch in the campsite by the sailing club on Friday.
Saturaday dawned windless so after picking up the 135 from Ben's dad we had a ride to Stamford and were surprised what a lovelly old town it was :) as the breeze seemed to have filled in abit we returned to Rutland and parked near the water and I took the longboard to explore !!! I beat to near the limit of both arms doing my best to avoid the fly fisherman !!! with the plate down the beats were good and I nearly got going on a couple of the reaches as the gusts came through.I did manage to fall in when I sailed around the draw off tower and once when uphauling when my uj parted company with the board !!! So a nice couple of hours + could have been abit more wind but can't win'um all. Then out for another top meal in a pub in Edith Weston :)
