Abit more wind yesterday but raining :( so today when we woke to less wind but blue skies it was too good an oppertunity to miss.Even though the tide was wrong for Levington,a midday low I had little choice in th NNW wind.I parked at the marina entrance end so I could sail out of the marina channel and after a quick breakfast in the van I was on the water by 11 !!! I headed down river and spent a very pleasant 80 mins reaching up and down from Levington to Felixstowe docks ,turning right behind the huge container ships - the only time I fell in was right behind a large ship with the tide pulling me towards it !!! I uphauled very quickly. So a great sail even if not quite windy enough,(I would have rigged the 9.4 in the summer) and not cold even if the air temp. was only 8 degrees and it made a change to have a sunny day at the weekend :) Then back to the marina with the tide really low landed with no mud walk - result. Then lunch in the van with Mag and a two hour walk up river :)
