A very funny session. The first run went fairly well but not that clean, just plenty of power. I could see some flat spots and it looked like it could be a great session. But after that the wind seemed to get a little more east and much gustier and it just became impossible to sail the course. Gutted. If ever there was a day at Sprecks I thought I could have cracked 40 this was it.

I only got one other run in after that which was setting up to be a corker with a good approach to the flat spot fully powered, but the wind deserted me when I got there and I just glided through at 35kn.

I would have gone to the Poo Plant but there was a big brush Fire at Kanaha with thick smoke covering the shoreline.
