Awesome day at the pit. Lots of guys pulling PBs. The wind was broad and strong, making the mission up the channel extremely tiring. Easier to walk.

Glad I re-booked my flight home the other day!

Interesting start. I put the wrong fin in (I was meant to put the 20 in but the cover was the same). Stock KA fin with no tweaks, fine-tuning or polishing. It just worked great. The new Koncepts are super stable. First time I've had a good run on the 5.0m. I did some of my fastest runs on the 5.8m, but was alternating as the wind strength changed.

Low tide wasn't so low, so there wasn't a big window of time to get a lot of runs in. It was getting quite crazy at the end of the run with 20-30cm standing waves. On my last run I got totally airborne at 47 knots, but thankfully the board and fin were rock solid and I kept going.

I've posted trackpoint speeds from the Navi to keep consistent with the rankings on the GPSSS site. There are discussions in progress about qualifying the data based on statistical knowledge of the performance of each device. We hope this can bring on a fair ranking system that does not favour older units that are prone to reading higher speeds than reality.

So here are the doppler results from realspeed:
5 x 10sec: 46.908
100m: 47.914
250m: 47.272
500m: 46.022
2 second: 48.11
