Vrij amateuristisch...

ANTWOORD van de Beheerder: First of all Benjamin, all the best for 2026 for you as well. Maybe it’s good to share some background information about the website upgrade almost two weeks ago. At the end of 2024 we decided to continue with gps-speedsurfing.com, although we know it would take a lot of our free hours in addition to our regular jobs, In the start of 2025 we announced our plans and asked the community to get involved, contributing in development, and also very important the testing phase. Only a very small group responded to this, and this group tested almost all functionality before we made the decision to go live. The reality is that we don’t have the resources to do a full blown 100% test-phase that can be seen in commercial environments, so we are depending on the community to support us. This has always been the concept of the website. It’s build by Windsurfers for Windsurfers. A rollback to the previous version of the website is not possible for several reasons,. The most important one is that it’s running on older, no longer supported software versions, making it vulnerable to security issues, for us this is a no-go area. We strongly believe that with the current Issue Tracker we can fix issues in a structured way, and as posted a few days ago we have already fixed lots of issues in the last days, we spent a lot of development hours during the holiday season to catch up on all of them. The new platform offers so much new options for development that we can hardly wait to start working at this, but first we want to use this winter period to solve (most) of the issues.
