Last day of my speed trip to La Franqui/La Palme with Theo, and the first day with somewhat manageable conditions for the two of us.
No insurmountable chop and no nuclear wind. Good to fully enjoy this beautiful spot for a few hours.
The wind was a bit too broad. To avoid the risk, I walked back almost every leg. When you’re doing a mile, that walking can take quite a while.
After about eight legs, the wind picked up significantly again and shifted further to the north. At the same time, the rolling chop arrived, which meant the end of the session for me.
A great speed day with acquaintances from France, Germany, Italy, and other globetrotters.
Although we had only 1 proper speedday, it was (after a 3-year absence) again a joy to speedsurf at this wonderfull place, and enjoy the company from the other speed-addicts on and off the water.
