Session Details

Today was the first day with the new F159. This board is amazing!!! It feels so relaxt and in control, it was like a sunday drive.
I had no difficulties by setting speeds over 50km (27 knots), in my very first run i clocked a 49,8km. In gpsa al the 5 fast runs in 2 sec were above 53km.
The downwind qualities of this board is superb. Also upwind the board is very much in control, it has a certain lift and at that point it stays very stable.

The circumstances were very good for speed, the water was reasonable flat.
Still a pity that i didn't break the 30 knots barrier. Its possible with the 11,6, but it will be a hard fight.
I couldn't give my sail enough downhaul, because everytime the rope of the downhaul breaks. This is becoming a annoyance with the 11,6, i already broke 8 ropes.
After i rigged it again the rope broke again and i went for the safe mode, by giving it not as many downhaul as would be required. The results was that i was dead tired afterwards because the wind was blowing quite hard. Still managed a 51,6 and 51,9 on the gps.

With an average of 27,2 knots im very happy. In a half year i improved my average on formula with 6km.
So i hope to even improve a litte bit more, with a good downhaul and good circumstances i will try to break 30 knots with the 11,6.
