I was keen to get out on the water today after heading down to Levington Marina yesterday but was put off by the rain so gave it a miss, with low water at 9.15 I had enough time to do my exercises and it was sunny at this point! I had heard a few wingers were heading down at 1.30 but that’s late for me as it is nearly dark by 4 now so I arrived at the marina at midday and sadly I could not park near the launch beach again so had to carry my kit a bit further again, it will be like this all winter I think! The board was set up and it was gusting up to 18 mph so I took a chance once again went with my 5.75m, sadly the sun had long gone and it was a gloomy day but at least it didn’t rain! I launched at 12.30 and it took a dozen tacks to get to deep water and then spent a couple of hours playing hunt the gust as the wind was up and down with the best wind across the corner to the left of the marina. I did have some nice flying runs and gybes but also there were lots of lulls so a 3 star session for me! I was joined on the later around two by 5 wingers.
