Hot day down at Boggy Lake(41+) - masts were almost too hot to touch after a minute or so.  I waited until I the last minute to rig and pre-cooled the mast is the water just in case as I have been scarred from a mast popping years ago in the heat.  Chris R joined me and it was great to catch up, it has been a few years but I am sure we will have a few sessions down at Goolwa where his shack and gear cache is located!

Headed out on a 7 initially but was over juiced and headed in, noticed a batten had broken as well which was probably due to the first rigging on this mast.  Rigged the 6.1 while Chris was rigging a 7.8!.  The wind was NW and soon swang due West so I headed up above the reeds. THe wind was pretty good for west with farly constant bullets that were short lived but fun.  It was a case of slingshot-lull-oversheet-cruise. I was releived not to see any carp or turles as I did last time I was up there, but that doesn't mean they weren't there.  Chris later joined me up the top and we started to make our way back when the wind swung 90 degrees to the south and I was thrown over the front.  Batten number 2 broken!  It was too hard to sail back with the cross hatch chop so we walked in the shallows. 

Caught up with Lean and Shane in the carpark - good to hear they promtly opened your car. Leon looked comfy as always powered by a handkerchief.
