probably the slowest of the day, wind was light and kicked in quite quickly..the squalls were brutal and after nearly killing myself once this week wasnt prepared to do it again!

how thoses guys hold it down in those winds i dont know fair play!

should of stuck it out but got cold waiting so binned...

Today I realised that I have forgotten how to sail my small kit in high winds, it's been such a long time:)) I even forgot to put my GPS on for the first few runs!!!

winds ranging from 25 knots to 50 knots (according to the computer in the wardens office). Great direction too.

i could not get comfortable, sail, board and fin, all felt wrong today. I need more high wind days too figure my kit out again.

Great turn out of UK speedies, and good to see Vincent and Jacques made the trip over. Their journey was rewarded with some brilliant speeds.

was fun.

Trip to West Kirby together with Vincent Valkenaers. It was a very relaxed and nice day, it was easy to go fast. Today my avg was a little bit faster then my session from 3 januari 2018 at Kirby and that was the fastest windsurf gps session ever posted in UK. But Vincent was clearly faster today, he is making big steps and i am convinced Vincent and Hans are totally ready for Luderitz speed challenge next month.

great day at west kirby , been a long while waiting for the wind this year but it all came at once today , we had gusts of 61 knots at times , all different angle from square to very very broad , congrats to Jim , 51 peak , and to vincent ,first time at kirby and he smashed it ,git :)

slight crash on my last run ,pulled/popped my shoulder , bit achy now :0

Changed lots today as had a long time to think about tuning...think this is the first time at WK for 2 years!

I had one run that went really well with plenty of power.  Showed 51.13knots max speed.  Lots of personal UK PB's so verey happy.

The 250m of 47.77knots should be enough should be enough to win the UKWA British speed Championships :) with 1 week to go.

Feel happy to be improving.

hoped for 42kt 10s av today-not there,

top peak 43.89, not pb nor best this year.

Good fun today, did get pretty windy!

Knap gedaan Vince en Jacques ! Mannen met ballen dat is overduidelijk.

Congratz... amazing speeds

Well Done Jim, Jacques and Vincent!

My day did not go so well, could only sail until 2pm due to needing to pick my son up from school. Started on my lightwind (wide nosed) Moo then switch to my highwind Moo, Wind picked up and I got one good run where I felt powered up. Then twice got the the rig ripped from my hands trying to start as run, the second time the rig and board parted, UJ broke. BIG THANKS to those who helped me get my kit back.

Great fun day at West Kirby. The conditions was as good as it gets. I was struggling to get it together and get good speeds when the going was good with my new kit.  Hopefully this is the start of the windy season now and cant wait to get out again soon!

Today i made the misake of using a cheap sale Bought and never used before, mk1 vx 5.5m. I did not have a same make mast so used a tushy 430 with 28cm of downhaul which turned out to sail like a door as no soft leach at all, and first board 63LT missle,24 drake fin, no comfort, no speed. Should have bit the bullet and got the speed 44 isonic out. I came in and changed to 44 speed and the wind came around to 315 degrees and a justa few runs as the chop was now to rought for comfort so came in again and changed to warp 80lt and same sail. Had my fastest runs on this and sail was much improved on the comfort. Amazing windy day with a few top speed sailers from abroad, vincent Valkenaers ect and other fast uk speed sailers, I missed out on getting in 40 knots as bad choice of equiment, always another day.

Well Done Jim, Jacques and Vincent!
