Heerlijk weer, gezellige surfmaten, allemaal op 1.5m afstand minimaal, maar qua surfen stelde het voor mij niet veel voor. :-(

Giga klotsbak met hamervlagen die ik niet in snelheid kon omzetten. Vin vernield in het ondiepe gedeelte. Het was helaas ook niet echt oost. En m'n geblesseerde achillespees werkte ook niet ècht mee....  Maar verder geen geklaag meer, ik heb gesurft :-) met een zonnetje, wind, super relaxed sfeertje op het water en op de kant....... wat wil je nog meer?

Een korte en lastige sessie. Klotsbak en af en toe stevige wind. Geen zin om kleiner op te tuigen.

Zag effe een Max van 60.14 staan, tevreden mee. 

En het was gezellig aan de kant.

Wat een heerlijke surfmiddag! Gevaren met de Falcon 90 en met de vdb-sl.60.  Een enorm verschil in vaargevoel, de Falcon vaart veel losser en voelt veel sneller aan, maar is in werkelijkheid nauwelijks sneller als de VDB die veel rustiger en vaster over het water gaat.

Knappe tijden Niek!

Eindelijk weer eens op het water, heerlijk weertje en lekker Oosten wind op voor mij nieuwe spot.

Was gezellig aan de waterkant en lekker heen en weer gevaren. Echt Speed zat er niet in, voelde mij daar niet okay voor, ik was blij dat ik kon varen :-)

Mooi dagje. Helaas brak mijn giek spontaan toen ik bij het dammetje van Polsmaten aan het surfen was. Gratis workout: teruglopen en vaargeul overzwemmen.

Peter, Chris and I are thinking about Tribal Boards and what's better than try and test the Guru's designs. I found a Mistral and now I have a magic bullet (thanks a lot Patrick...yiiihhaaaarrrr...).

At a given moment when I felt totally secure I found myself closing my eayes and relax at over 70km/h over full chop. I just wanted to feel the boards behaviour. It's something I do regularly when saling but definitely not on a speedboard in these conditions haha. It shows just how relaxed all felt. It might sound strange but all of a sudden all fell in place and some of the rides started to feel similar to my "golden era"around 2006 when I was breaking 50 as the first sailor in the world. Back then at West Kirby a gale felt like a summerbreeze. It's nice to be truly gettting in the zone again.

My fastest run was set in the chop as was my topspeed and 500 (EDIT...THE FASTEST 500 AT THE DAM, 2 TENTHS FASTET THAN THE OPEN WATER 500).  The third fastest run was set at the dam. Average speed deducting the dam session 67.9km/h.

Sander had a few magic ones at the dam and I notice he has split his track. Thanks for being honest. I had so much fun on the chop that I "forgot" to go there. When I got there Sander had an ultra gust and I saw him fly in style.

The Venom for sure was a huge help to drive the board over the chop. This years sails are simply magic. The 2018 and 2019 were good already but it's very clear Art and Barry have listened to Serge's and my pleads (not trying to take anything from the masters genius here, just happy the adjustments for normal weight riders work).

All in all fantastic day.

Beuh... offday

In het begin lopen klooien met de giekhoogte en trapezekoorden. Kreeg de settings niet goed. Daardoor in no-time beide onderarmen verzuurd. 

 

De hele dag voor het strand gevaren, niet het dammetje opgezocht.

Veel runs maar half afgemaakt, om geen risico te lopen in de vervelende chop, 1 crash downwind in de vaargeul was namelijk genoeg, geen zin in persoonlijke brokken. Meer van dit soort dagen, zo komen we deze nare tijd wel door, het surfen blijft een goede en gezonde ontspanning! Blijf gezond iedereen!!!
