Old skool speed session at Herkingen.

Started with my 6.3 and my first run was already 68.3 and topspeed 73.54. Quite promising and hoping for some 70 runs. However changed to 5.6 later on and speeds were never up again... Changed my mast position more to the back, but could'nt 

I was no competitor today on my 51 compared to many other on 40-44 cm boards. It felt all very fast, but the numbers said something else. It was quite square (angle 10-15°) so you had to bear off into the chop to search for topspeeds. It felt all very fast and went more then 20 times over 70, but the runs weren't good enough.

Concentrated on (duck)jibing today and was hoping for a high 40, close to 50... but that will be for next time with complete square conditions. Now my upwind track was too slow (53) compared to my downwind leg (60). However did 3 alpha's above 48.3. Posted with the 'slower' GPS device, because on the other one my max alpha (PR) was 48.51. AVG on other device = 67.7, max 75.6

Dirk was flying today on his new board !! 

Not (yet) too crowdy and the usual suspects. Great day !!
