The wind was 25-35kts on Windguru but one of the locals went out down the wall and took a constant reading of 45kts. I don't think it was quite that windy but sure it peaked later in the afternoon somewhere in the middle at 40kts. All I can tell you is that it was f_ _ _ ing windy and I was super, super stacked on my 5.8. It’s time to buy that smaller sail, I have put it off for too long now. I just managed to hold on and get 2 runs in while the wind was around 30kts. Also, later on the direction went broad creating a lot of chop down the wall. On a high note, some good did come out of the day, I sailed my 44W x 53ltr iSonic with 21 Fin, that's a first, fantastic, I'm over the moon. Slow but sure progress nevertheless. It’s all about the journey!!!!
Congratulations to Ant, what a master class, well impressed. Thanks for all the encouragement but thought I'd quit while still in one piece!!!
