it has been a while that I could use the speedboard. Now I could test it for real and in hard winds. What a day, a bit scary dough because my confidence is not what it used to be, don't know the reason yet. But after a few runs it was nice to surf in these hard and (very) cold conditions. 
I am not the old Dave yet but i'm think I will be back soon. 

The gear was performing great and I had it all under control!

Nice numbers but it could have gone faster if you had the right gust. Not bad for a long sabbatical (speed) period.
