BIG day in Karpathos!

today was the day we were waiting and preparing for 10 days now, Again 10-15 knots stronger wind than forecasted Meltemi showed his nice face. We had nice quite consistent 30 to 40 knots all over the Devils Bay. Couzrse was a bit. chioppy at the end. 

Actually the wind was between 5.5 and 6.2 sail size and at any other place one would opt for the 5.5; but Kaprathios is different. The course is short, you need supberb upwind perfo and good acceleration at the entry, So 6.2 was the choice of the day. Resulting in slightly overpowered sailing , but still manageable. So weill that some PBs could be scored today! Christian and Tomislav scored PBs on avg - sincere congratz! I had the fastest run ever in Karpathos with 40.39 kn and best 2sec so for. Guess this will bring the Karpathian Speedboys a bit up in Odyssey of Speed ranking.... 

Forecast is the same for tomorow, Let's see whether Aeolos wants to play again with us!! 10 days on the island , ten days wind!
