Second Day sailing at Britains Best spot!!
Weather was very different to yesterday and misty and grey but the wind looked ok.. The only problem with Daymer is that it's so sheltered that down by the bank it's always a lot lighter than the main beaches. Still looked ok for a Fun sail, so i started rigging the 7m but i tore up the bottom panel just as i was about to go in.. After jumping around cursing, swearing and generally scaring the tourists i unwillingly dragged the spare out of the car which was only my old 6m twin cam. Thinking i was going to be totally underpowered i got the waveboard ready too for some jumping on the bar.

Once on the water however all was ok ish, very underpowered but you could stay on the plane most of the time by being careful and not sailing too far down the river. Course was square and the only way to get over thirty knots was to bear off out to sea since there was light wind by the bank. Spent a good thirty minutes going for alpha speeds and despite doing loads of solid jybes in a row it was way too patchy to really get a good one (I think 25/26knots is possible for me on a decent day). Still had a Great days sailing again but was way too tired to go out on the waveboard at the end LOL.
