First outing on the new 2011 W44 had some great speed but needed to dial the trim/tuning around quite a bit from previous 2010 W44 - 2 very similar dimensioned boards with significant differences in ride/character..spent quite a few runs too many walking and checking fins (main fin used pre-proto SLINGSHOT 22, also Venom 24 and Strike22). Reflex5.6 doing a very easy job under some nice squalls. Caught a couple and couple and that was it...a sunny day with quite a large fun crowd, couple of cracker runs from the boys...great to see the tourists...must be speedseason!
