I started off with a 6.3 with the 59 vd berg. Then switched to 5.8 and 53 vd berg. My GPS speed increased immediately. It was allot easier to get over the 60 km limit.

First time that I could use my new 2005 vd berg 53 with the 5.8. I used a Ignition 400 mast, which worked well. The 29 fin suited this combination better than the 27 select.

For the people that don't know the Gouwzee, it is not a speed spot. So getting over the 65 km range is not that straight forward due to chop etc... But that makes it all the more challenging to try and achieve high speeds on 'open' water.....
