Last day of 6 at BIB. I started on a 6.0, but quickly went down to the 5.2 after an early hammering. I was very pleased to see some nice gybes in the tracklog. It is so much easier to gybe a 135l boards after demoing smaller boards the day before. There were two sailing paths. One along the shallows, which required going through the very choppy section at the south end, and the other just further north that allowed the southern gybe in the lee of the island and thus low chop. The second possibly not ideal for speed, but more fun with a few small swells in the middle.

There were about 25 people out this day. The fastest run was made sailing in a group trying to keep pace with slalom and freewave boards. More or less kept up, but slowly lost ground over the mile or so run. In any case, I passed my goal of 30 mph. Now looking over the 5 best runs, only 1 is over 30 knots. New goal, make the 30 knot club. Let's hope the continental wind is helpful this summer.

Great spot - I'll be back next year.
