Strong ENE for a change, tried the western side of Meola Reef from 1 hour either side of low tide. Wind angle not optimum, couldn't stay right up near reef and bear away for speed. Some "interesting" faster runs over short spaced chop away from the reef as a result. Going to need really optimum conditions to go much faster it seems, on current gear at least.
