Very strong winds out of the east. I settled for Mellsten for which this wind direction is kind of ok except for the gusty wind, the crowd and the bad chop. I sailed with my JP Slalom 60 and with my NP RSR 5,8m2. That was a great combination except for being badly overpowered in the gusts while slamming into the chop. Even though the water was flatter at the far end of the strech my top speed was recorded out in the open. After going back and forth enough times to be sure I could not do any better I tacked upwind but could not find any better spots for blasting. Comming back was annother trick and reminded me of sailing in Sotavento back in the good old days. Glad to finally beat the 30knot barrier and to get some improved PB. What I thaught was cool was that I surfed over 60km of chop in 3 hours. Not bad for an oldtimer.
