I used my new GAASTRA VAPOR sails and a reject TABOU Manta 49 (I got it from Antony of the WINDSURF CENTER LANGEBAAN) I practiced and fine tuned in churchhaven with my mates Darren and Henny earlier in January. I was lucky (at my home spot, the Flamingo Vlei) on Tuesday to have strong consistened SE winds even on top of the Vlei. I could allready speed up in the sheltered flatwater zone and just go downwind when I could make out a flatish pice of water in the middel and had some owsome downwind runs. This week on Wednesday I got to brave and crashed at 68 km/h no damage to material but my neck needs some medical attention... I'll be hopefully fit again for the upcoming speedtrials at the Vlei.
PS: I choose for the choppy conditions we got on the Vlei a relativly long FALCON 32cm Fin to give me maximum gripp (a advice I got from Cedric a Tabou teamrider presently in SA) Thanks Cedric
