First sail for the year (and the first in since July 2015 :(    ).

Headed down to Goolwa with the family so the kids could try out the new wooden boat playground.  Headed out on the 7.7 and broke the mast on the second run upwind - Bugger!.  It must have been damaged from a crash at Lake George earlier last year when I hit rocks and the head of the boom scraped the bottom when I went over the bars.  I was suprised it didnt break then and I havent used this rig since.  Started swimming back from near Rankines and then decided to roll up the sail and reduce the drag.  Headed back out on the 6.9 and was underdone but I had fun.  Not enough wind to plane out of any Gybes but I had fun gambling with gusts(and speedboats) near the Aquacaf so the kids could see what Dad does on the water.  Headed in around 5 and the wind looked to be filling in nicely but it was time to hit the road as the kids were starting to get tired after 4 hours playground.
