Event description and NOR 

It is time to announce the first “Lithuanian El Tur GPS Speed Chalenge 2010”. This is the 1st year for this event, which runs from 7st of March 2010 to the 21^st of March 2010. Thanks to the support of Winder.lt & Vejas galvoje, we have great prizes!

Speed shall be measured by the "Average of the 5 Fastest Ten Second Runs". The “Lithuanian El Tur GPS Speed Chalenge 2010” follows the rules set out by the www.gps-speedsurfing.com. It is also recognized by the www.gps-speedsurfing.com.

This event is designed for sailors of all skill levels, from beginners to the most experienced windsurfer. But you have to be in it to win it. And its FREE!!! You can enter as many times as you like all period long (2010.03.07-21). We want you to participate as often as you can. The official GPS unit of the “Lithuanian El Tur GPS Speed Chalenge 2010”  is the GT-11, GT-31 by LOCOSYS Technology. But Garmin units such as the Foretrex 201 and Forerunner 201 are still acceptable.

This Event runs on a completely flexible schedule over a 3 week period. You decide when you want to race. See the "Info & Rules" section at www. gps-speedsurfing.com  page for more information. Shortly, you will need a valid GPS unit and a user account @ www.gps-speedsurfing.com  for posting your results. … and internet access of course J
