Very awkward ESE to SE wind direction for Sandy Point speed sailing. The wind was 20-25 knots for most of the time with *bullet* gusts of 35 knots lasting no more than a second. These gusts were too short to notice in advance and way to short to utilize.

This was my first day of using a seat harness and I deliberately chose 4.4 sail to have more control. This choice made me underpowered for most of the time, but I still had a great fun and learned a lot from Mal Wright and Andrew Daff, just by looking what they did to find reasonable runs in very tricky and variable conditions. In 40 km of trying I could only manage to do what they did for one @6 second run, but then run into a steep chop and had to slow down.
