Day 11 at Karpathos.

'Waiting for wind...' if ever this mantra was appropriate, it would be today.

The day started off very weird; the forecasted wind came very late and was gusty as hell. I couldn't make heads or tails of it and by the time Dirk-Jan and me decided to take a break I didn't even have 60 avg on the dial. However during our break the wind had increased dramatically without us really realising it. So when Johan came back amd reported 70's, we were pretty dumb founded.

It took quite a bit of patience, but in the end we were rewarded. When everyone had packed up, the end slowly started to increase and we decided to hit the water. Straight off the bat I was increasing my average kept climbing, until I had one good gust which delivered a 65 run. A couple of minutes later: 69...

By then the wind was a bit lower again and it was closing time, so we packed up our stuff.

It feels good having redeemed ourselves after such a frustrating day! Curious what tomorrow will bring...
