After yesterdays big winds when I should have gone to Southend where I missed a top 5.8 day but not getting home until 3 in the morning after a nightshift Ijust couldn't face  the drive and walk - next time!

Then today it was supposed to be even milder but with a good breeze steady dropping during the morning and going offshore. I was going to  try  Levington to see if I could got 30kts again but Peter Cutts rang and said he was coming to TheDip at Felixstowe so decided to stay here.On the way to The Dip Steve Carter and Strawberry were at The Fludgers as the wind was already wsw so decided  to stay here, a quick text to  Pete to tell him the change of venue and then  rig up. I untied my 133 and  little used 100 lt and with the other two rigging 5m I went for 6.5 as it didn't seem that windy! Steve and Strawberry soon changed up  to 6m and my 6.5 and 133 was OK, over at times but also under too:( I beat up towards the  pier but going broad was a nightmare in the very lumpy sea:( I managed nearly 27kts which was scary enough andthen I had a go with the 100lt Fanatic Cross,I don't know why I don't use this board more as it's easy to sail and gybes nicely:) but sadly the wind was now dropping so after only a few runs called it a day,  shamereally as the sea was really improving. Can't believe it's December as it'sso'oooooooooo mild and  not a bad turn out as we were joined on the water by Peter Cutts, IanClarke, Andy Marshall and Chris Phillips in his canoe:)
