Aart Veerman surprised me with a new board: Chris Lockwood's Mistral 47. Much obliged Aart. Feeling humble you want me to break Horst records with this board. I told you yesterday after one sort of powered run the board feels as if I can go 80 sailing backwards. Wel, I got close in the first attempt. Mannnn...this board is a dream, It feels as if it's made for my style an as opposed to the Falcon speed I am nearly sure I can make it fly with 6.2 as well. Anytime you want it back please kick me in the balls as that will soften the pain from losing this gem :-) :-) :-).

Lately I have been testing the KA speed sails couple of times for Peter Weitenberg. I found out I needed much less downhaul than any other modern sail. As I am testing for Art Szpunar/S2 as well it's super fun to feel the differences between both concepts. I use the Venom 5.7 wit 340 base and 400 top. With the KA it's completely the other way around, so 400 base and 340 top as the sweetspot. The Venom is more of a flying machine, the KA a slicing machine. Both blistering fast. Both super fun to sail. More to come for sure as it feels I am have found my 2004-2006 mojo again. If signs are not mistaken I made another leap. Again nearly 80 this week at Horst and that's not a common speed over here. The wind was moderate for the 5.7 and one sweet gust got me in position. 

Horst is getting fast again and when the waterlevel drops and we get a gale within a Month I expect us to be able to get close to 90km/h. It feels as if I am ready for it.
