fun day at the lake. I'd forgotten how much it sinks! First sail on the new 09 6.6 koncept. VERY similar feel to the awesome 5.8. The problem with speed on the lake is getting broad enough. The only way to do it is by throwing caution to the wind and sailing over the backs of the big chop or keeping the angle tight and lining up the chop lines. Broad is still fastest but pretty damn scary. Thank God (and Chris lockwood) for the KA 23 symmetrical fin. Its like havind a steam roller in front of the board  to flatten the course . Pretty happy with 37.6 on the dial on the navi. Would have been nice to have a Garmin on to see how high the non - doppler speed would have been (maybe a 40?). Pb's all round for the lake with Doppler speeds and most even beat my old garmin speeds . All in all good fun!
