Very gusty wind, again from the South, turning more and more to SW (becoming square). I made the right choice saying 7.0 was the size to go for whilst others were thinking of 6.2. Southerly winds make for a very broad course here and it's gusty as well so you need a big sail. I did 41.3 kts top speed (2 sec) which is the first time over 40 knots on a sail of this size for me. The board needs a bit of work but it's clear that it is fast. It was designed for a 6.2 on a broad course (Horst conditions) and I can confirm it will be at it's best in those conditions, allthough it handled the 7.0 very well. Winter could hit us shortly so this might have been the last session of 2009. certainly not the worst one. This course keeps amazing me as it is usually very gusty but when you hit the right gust at the right place you are sooo fast every time...!
