After a wonderful kayak up the Beaulieu River yesterday and with the forecast not being brilliant for windsurfing down there today I was not holding my breath :( Lepe was light and offshore so we tried Calshot which was'nt too bad with a couple of kiters out.I rigged big and decided to go for a cruise in the Solent.I sailed nearly 4 miles out towards Portsmouth but the wind was very up and down and it was very choppy :( the sail back to the lagoon behind the Calshot windsurfing shop was fun following in the wake of a large motor cruiser :) A quick trip around the lagoon followed by a run back to the van for lunch.I had a couple of short reaches but was poor so packed up and went shopping in Southampton !!!
