More than enough wind, even considered to take the 5,1. The problem today was that 90% of the day the water was to wild to get real good speeds. You needed some luck to get some flat spots and good gusts/ direction at the same time. At least a 80km/h average and a NM over 76. Sailed the new Slingshot fin already many times last months and this fin is already sitting for weeks in my board without removing it. Doesn't matter if i sail on flat water or choppy water, with 6,2 or 5,5. Always in total control and full confidence that the chance of crashing is very small. Only had 2 spin outs on speeds over 80 (because of nasty chop) and both times it was super easy to get the fin back on track without crashing. First spin out is on the video i made on the brace with a run of 45 knots.
Second spin out was this day just in front of Koen Onderbeke sailing over big chop. With any other fin this run was ending wet and painfull....
