Lately we have been very busy designing some new proto's (which are not ready yet) and changed some of the ones we already had. Based on todays test I can sense we're on the right track. Ron laminated the adjusted monster yesterday and had to finish it this moring. When Serge and I arrived ,the best wind had disappeared but I could just squeeze in two runs before the wind died. This was enough to get an idea of the concept we're working on. On the big boards we're looking for solutions to decrease the needed finlength and we're looking back to old shapes we already made 6 years ago and combine the ideas with our step-hull solution. The shapes are extremely complex to make, but I'm sure Ron can deal with the challenge and will come up with very nice looking big boards which will be incredibly easy to sail. I'm getting more and more in synch with the Point 7 sails. You can sail with lots of front foot pressure and drive the board through the chop without letting it stick. It's a shame the wind died so soon, but the dinner at Bellini's with some surf buddies made up for the waiting period on the shore after the wind died.
