As the tides seemed not suited for receord conditions we decided to skip The Brace and go for Horst. Only problem is you don't know what you're gonna get... The 50 knot gusts surely were not sent to Horst today, but I was able to use 6.3 the whole day. In the beginning the gusts were really short and it felt like there was no air in them, so very difficult to get some decent runs in. After half an hour brake I went back o the water, same gear as I only expected the wind to maybe increase but not to a level that a 5.6 would be necessary...I was right. 6.3 was the size to have, also at the end of the day. The gusts came through better and longer and I was able get to a peak of 80.05 and a run of 75.93. After that I could even improve on that: it showed 83.01 on the GPS and a 79.36 run...very happy!

We get more and more confirmations from testing, tuning and testing again that we are on the right track with the mXr boards. Yesterday Martin won the day sailing underpowered after some changes made to the steps on the USM board. It is good to see that now we are at the satge where we can pretty much predict what is necessary to make the boards even better...and it is good to see the expectations after making slight adjustments are met with improved performance.
