Thanks for the vlaai Christiaan. Good to see many familiar faces getting ready for the season. While we all were talking on the beach the wind was there and when most felt it was time to hit the water conditions got very gusty. Bummer...but I had a good first test on the Gryphon anyhow. The board needs some slight alterations but apart from that it already feels very well balanced and I am stoked to feel it responds very well to footsteering. It's loose and very easy to set on a wave which will be important for slalom on open sea with windwaves and swell. The ride is relaxed but clearly more lively and demanding than the Monster 72. This was the design objective so I can only say I'm happy with the result. Now please a decent session with more stable winds.

The Simmer SCR felt well balanced as well. I think I'll love the bigger sizes and they are for sure fast. As I didn't know the sail I trimmed it a littlebit too flat and only found out about it when the wind nearly died. I put 2cm of negative on the sail and the behaviour changed completely.Findrive was way better and the sail lifted the board at the tiniest gust. Next time I know what to do. I'm looking forward to sail the board with our own Mxr fins which will arrive in Hololand in two weeks time.
