We want to share with all speedsurfer around the world the special spirit of the Lüderitz Speed Challenge and the need for speed.
Show us how fast your favourite spot is.
The winner will be the sailor with the fastest 500m
Lüderitz Speed Challenge team will have cool giveaways for the 3 fastest man & woman.
Our goal is it to extend the list of FAST Windsurf spots worldwide and -of cause- to promote Windsurfing.
No worries- the speeds achieved in the canal will not considered in our ranking. The Luderitz riders can post sessions from other spots to compete in the event.
If you love to go fast on your windsurf gear, you can take part in the Worldwide LÜDERITZ Dunkerbeck GPS Speed Challenge 2019. Every registered windsurf spot is valid.
Just switch on your GPS go to the water and sail as fast as you can.

Date: The Worldwide LÜDERITZ Dunkerbeck GPS Speed Challenge 2019 will take place from the 01.11.2019 till 30.11.2019. The event will be open till 01.12.19 24.00h (GMT) to post sessions. Valid sessions only from the 01.11.2019 till 30.11.2019, sessions from the 01.12.19 won‘t be considerated (only open for posting)
Registration:
Registration is simple: first register as a user of www.gps-speedsurfing.com. (GP3S)
For Worldwide LÜDERITZ Dunkerbeck GPS Speed Challenge 2019 a registration in the Event section is necessary. By this, all participants agree to the terms and conditions of GP3S, including giving us the right to share and publish session data for the rankings of the Worldwide LÜDERITZ Dunkerbeck GPS Speed Challenge 2019
Rules:
The Worldwide LÜDERITZ Dunkerbeck GPS Speed Challenge 2019 will be based on current GPS-measuring standards and rules. Considering the 500 m GPS speed.
Each session you want to publish needs to be uploaded to www.gps-speedsurfing.com
Sessions shall be uploaded at the same day or not later than 30th of November. Valid sessions only from 01.11.2019 till 30.11.2019. Sessions from the 01.12.19 won‘t be considerated (only open for posting) Also any sessions uploaded after this deadline cannot be considered for the ranking.
All GPS tracks need to be available for verification by the event organization at all times.

All GPS units approved by www.gps-speedsurfing.com (see actual device list here)
Disclaimer
Every rider has responsibility for himself. He/she has to have all insurances needed. The organizer will not take any responsibility for rescue operations nor racing accidents.
