Sessie 44: Big crash!!! (in de vijfde run), Lenti - wind rules today!

Day 10 at Karpathos

A hard fought PB for Devil's Bay today. The wind was pretty strong already when we arrived, but the gusts today were intense. It was very difficult to get a good run from start to finish, but managed to get 2 good ones and slowly but surely increased the average after the first break. The S26.5 performed admirably again today and the 6.3 with the W54 were a good match.

Some observations of today (pretty much note to self): wind direction: going upwind was quite easy, sometimes it was even broad reaching the 'Björkqvist' point on the reef. The wind was getting increasingly gusty throughout the day it seemed. In the early morning there were some clouds surrounding the mountain, but they were gone by the time we hit the water (10:30'ish).

Mister Knol was uncatchable again today and Mister Huitema was also doing well until his unfortunate incident. All in all a good day today, but pretty hardcore. I'm actually hoping for days with a bit less wind for some easy cruising... :P

nice wind! increadible speed and control from my fin.
