Today was the final day of the Luderitz speed challenge and I had the unique experiance of being the only windsurfer and one kite surfer on the canal. 

The wind was looking really promising with gusts of around 40knots and building.  After about 3 runs the kite surfer crashed and we had to get him off the canal and off to hospital with a broken ankle.

The thought of having the canal to myself seems like a dream but its a lonely place after seeing a crash. The wind got less and the day was finished.
