I started off on the 5.2m Evo X + Speed 50 which I was struggling to get going in the gusty winds and get through the lull at the top of the run.

After a couple of hours, I switched to the 5.6m Evo X + Speed 54 and I instantly got faster, despite the wind dropping.

It almost feels like I'm re-learning the art of speed sailing but this is a nice base to build upon. The kit felt really nice, especially the Speed 54 + 5.6m Evo X.

This session was a lot of fun and my fastest session in Portland Harbour. Happy days!

another day being spanked by the wonder kid down the speed course lol

I wanted to break 40 knots in Portland but again I failed...arrived too late and the best wind was gone.  I learned a lot by trying RDM for the first time in a speed sail.  It made everyhting much easier in the gusty conditions...although I need to work on getting more shape in the sail as it set a lot flatter.. some cam spacers req!

RDM is feeling better for me in these conditions.

trying to get my speed boots back on been a while

Finally a chance to have some proper speedsailing after what seems forever! Looking forward to the next session!
