Again no great speeds just a top days sailing in the breezy sunshine.Sailed from The Dip with the big freeride gear with the 8.5 being ok just until the late afternoon when the wind picked up to a solid 15 kts but I broke my spreader bar and called it a day while I still only had one rig to pack up !!! The wind with tide and the rolling swell keep speeds down.
Another mega day-three in a row !!! Went down The Dip for breakfast in the van with the idea of a walk and perhaps a sail a little later when the wind kicked in,but with the wind reading 13 kts + and the sea flat because of low water and it was too good an opportunity to miss.I'm afraid it was big kit again but i beat into the river mouth and had my best run in 500m of flat water, this was great as you had to sail through waves then head straight toward the shallow water by the beach and stop before you lost your fin !!!I then had a fantastic 4 mile broad out and back to the dip.I also tried a starboard hypersonic wood 125 have which was great and would love to swop the carve for this-ebay here come.I also had a quick go on the xantos but was having a job staying upwind so called it a day !!!
