The wind DID come in :-) 30 to 35knots NNW.

Went out 6pm on low incoming tide (0.6m low, 4.1m high), it was OK for speed at first, but the tide was creating standing waves and I couldn't get too close to the bank as it was hard to judge water depth.  So it is confirmed for future that best sailing will be outgoing tide or at low tide. The NNW is a very tight course, but you can slingshot off the bank into chop to gain a few peak runs.

Practised a few gybes and went for a blat across the harbour....very choppy!
